Hi guys,
I found on AliExpress 2 types of Y-Carriage, one is 3mm and the other 6mm thickness. 3MM Thickness and 6MM Thickness. Which one is better? I know the 6mm one is heavier, but is less prone to warping. Any thoughts?

will be heavier, so lower the jerk settings

But yes...thicker will always mean more rigid

Just in case,

One is made of full aluminium sheet and the other is made of aluminium composite. Aluminium composite is a acrylic sheet with a thick aluminium sheet on both sides. Search google.

I've the composite aluminium and I'm happy with that. Milion times bether than the original crap.
Just consider to isolate the heat from the heatbed, you know. Acrylic and heat...... :geek:

Hi Jo,

Thanks for the pics and that is the same carriage stop as mine and any dimensions for the shoulder bolt will be greatly appreciated.
