One Pi multiple printers

For anyone with multiple printers and only one raspberry pi who don't want to buy multiple pi's, like me here's a good tutorial to set up multiple printers on 1 Raspberry Pi running Octoprint.

One thing i have found, even though they are all their own instances the plugins go across all the instances. So if ya install a plugin on one machine when the others restart the plug in will show up on the others.

I'm currently running a A8, X1, and MP Mini Delta off one Raspberry Pi and its working well.

My only complaint on this type of setup is i can not get multiple webcams to work. The cross instance plugins i see causing some issues as well.

I have been using this guide for a bit, and while it does take a while to setup, the instances are each in a virtual environment. This greatly expands that you can reboot one without killing the others. though I still have issues getting the webcam to work when you add the firewall/proxy.

Feel free to check out. I have reached out to writer, but no response yet.

If this needs its own thread, please move...

Thanks. I'm in the process of setting up my octoprint to connect to 2 A8's. My setup is a bit different though. I have octoprint running on an old laptop that has linux installed, not on one of my many Pi's.

I followed the following to get my LT setup with multiple printers:
http://thomas-messmer.com/index.php/14- ... e-printers

Pretty good, but also lacking in some areas.

Creates two services running octoprint, so they are unique and can be stopped /restarted individually. There are steps to setup 2 webcams but I'm still waiting on my second one to arrive.

Since I'm running a linux distro and not raspbian, there are some minor differences.
