Re: 16T to 20T pulleys

The first thing you need to do is calculate your theoretical steps per mm. Go the Prusa calculator: https://www.prusaprinters.org/calculator/ Scroll down until you see belt driven systems. I specified a 20 tooth pulley and got an 80 steps/mm recommendation. Now edit the Marlin configuration.h file. ...

Re: PID Auto Tuning in Marlin

When I ran the bed autotune I got a similar error. This is caused by a value greater than 127 in the WATCH_BED_TEMP_PERIOD. Mine was at 140 so I lowered it to 120 and everything worked fine. Apparently this issue will be fixed in the next release of Marlin. Also make sure you specified the right the...

Re: PID Auto Tuning in Marlin

I got crazy values when I ran my bed PID:

Kp: 644.76
KI: 117.46
Kp: 884.78

Can you share your values with me to compare?

I have an A2 aluminum bed.

The easiest auto levelling calibration tutorial ever

I recently setup auto-levelling and love it, every single print has stuck to my bed since. In a previous post, I detailed a rather long and cumbersome process cobbled together from a few youtube videos I watched to learn how to calibrate my offset. Following the process, I needed to pull the head be...

Re: PID Auto Tuning in Marlin

I referred to Marlin Instant Configurator earlier. You can get it here:

https://github.com/akaJes/marlin-config

Its a bit of an install but is totally worth it.

Re: PID Auto Tuning in Marlin

Steve, so sorry I didn't answer until now, I forgot to subscribe to this thread! I am sorry but I don't know, I spent close to 40 hours dealing with unnbricking and setup for an A2. I promise that I will get back to you if I figure out the bed part. My other issue is that I am using Marlin Instant C...

I removed my calibration instructions in favour of a much clearer and simpler calibration tutorial that can be found here:

Re: Marlin A2 Plus configuration profile

I also designed and mounted a whole new modular X-Carriage, I still need to tweak it a bit but I will post on Thingiverse and alert people here when. This is a preview, the final design has some changes, particularly the belt mounting system and docking system. Not shown but part of the system are e...
